Projects

Uniform Me

When I began my new role at The Foundation Works I was tasked with managing the uniforms for the employees. There were no processes or systems in place and that led to many headaches. This application was created to accurately track the inventory and distribution of the uniforms at The Foundation Works. This is an application that I use frequently and is used among others within The Foundation Works. To learn more about the project, check it out on Github using the link below.

Technologies: React.js, Django REST, Gunicorn, Nginx

Mileage TFW

This application enables me and other employees of The Foundation Works to accurately track our miles. Before, the process was a little tedious and people would end up missing out on mileage. This application solves that. To learn more about the project, check it out on Github using the link below.

Technologies: Django, Celery, Gunicorn, Nginx

Payroll Pal

The time tracking portal provided by The Foundations Works payroll provider is garbage and frustrating to use. I sought out to create an app that interfaces with the payroll provider so I don’t have to. This app successfully integrates with the portal using Selenium Webdriver. To learn more about the project, check it out on Github using the link below.

Technologies: React.js, Flask, Selenium WebDriver, Redis, Gunicorn, Nginx

Boltdown

A substantial amount of The Foundation Works jobs are seismic retrofits i.e. bolting down houses for earthquakes. The City of Los Angeles provides a standardized engineering plan for homes that meet certain criteria, called Standard Plan #1. These plans come on either a 4’x2′ piece of paper, or a massive PDF file.

Pulling out and navigating the Standard Plan was always a pain in the neck so I created this website that makes it easily accessible and it is frequently used throughout The Foundation Works. Additionally, in order to get raises, employees are tested on their knowledge of the Standard Plan. This website has served as a valuable resource for on boarding  and advancing new employees within The Foundation Works.

Technologies: HTML/CSS, Amazon S3

The Foundation Works

When I first started at The Foundation Works, I immediately saw the potential for the brand and its presentation. When I began my new role, I pitched the idea of taking over the website redesign so I could help The Foundation Works online brand reach it’s full potential. Since then, the number of online leads has drastically increased and it has served as pivotal piece of the puzzle in The Foundation Works expansion plans.
